In this course you will learn how to use Adobe® Digital Publishing Suite to build a “Single Edition” app to deliver innovative reading experiences, dynamic content, and high-impact advertising on leading tablet devices that get consumers more deeply engaged with your content and your brand. 

Adobe® Digital Publishing Suite is a complete solution that lets individual designers, traditional media publishers, ad agencies, and major media and brand organizations create, distribute, monetize, and optimize cutting-edge interactive content and publications for tablet devices.

Smooth integration with Adobe Creative Suite® 5.5 software and tight control over the complete application creation and publishing process empower you or your design and production staff to deliver engaging tablet documents that meet even the most intensive deadlines. 

 

Who is this course for?

Those wanting to add rich interactive features to their content for conversion through the Adobe DPS system for global distribution onto the iPad using the Single-Edition solution from Adobe. Whilst we will have iPad devices available, we encourage delegates to bring along their iPad and/or Android devices to the training to test their output.

Assumed knowledge

An existing understanding of Adobe InDesign is required or you will have already attended our InDesign 2-day Introduction course as a minimum.

What you will learn

• Design and layout mobile documents
• Specify mobile device digital page orientations by defining how a smooth scrolling article, horizontal swipe article and pinch and zoom article are built, and when they can be utilized
• Specify the safe area of design for mobile device documents, specify digital page orientations
• Describe how multiple tablet types adjust the display of pages not matching the device’s display size
• Create the proper folder structure for creating documents for the creation of articles and folios
• Describe how interactive overlays float above the digital page, which interactive features are supported, and the parts of the Overlay Creator panel
• Create hyperlinks to different articles within the folio, online resources, or email addresses
• Create a multi-state object and specify mobile device controls and functions for viewer interaction via the Overlay Creator Panel Create Folios
• Create articles and incorporate them into folios
• Manage articles in both Folio Builder Panel within Adobe InDesign and via Digital Publishing Suite Dashboard DPS Folio Producer tools Preview folios and articles via the Adobe Content Viewer
• Know how to create a “Single Edition” app

• Courses start at 10am and finish at 5pm. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of the course on the first day.
