Jon is our training director and has been utilising Adobe software since 1987 in the quick-print, newspaper and magazine markets. He has been Adobe certified (first accreditation was Acrobat) since 1999. Jon has presented at European Seybold Seminars and various UK events including Adobe Live, Digital Solutions, PIRA, Pre-Press Strategies and the Publishing Expo to name a few.

Jon is a featured Expert and Presenter within Adobe's Acrobat Usergroup and a Senior Adobe Presenter within the official UK Consultancy Project.

Richard Bird
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Richard Bird is an Associate of the Learning and Performance Institute (TAP accredited) and is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Photoshop CS, CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5, InDesign CS, CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5, Illustrator CS, CS2, CS3, CS4, CS5 and InCopy. Richard has gained his 30+ years experience in the design industry, starting at the London College of Printing followed by a long career as a magazine designer and art editor of many well-known titles. Later on switching to the advertising industry, he made a name as a freelance typographer and studio manager with several of the larger agencies. A trainer for 7 years, he enjoys bringing his wealth of knowledge and experience to others with patience and understanding.

Andrew Devis
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Andrew Devis is an Adobe Certified Instructor in Premiére Pro (video production), Encore (DVD, Blu-ray and Web-DVD production) and After Effects (Motion Graphics/FX et al) and involved in both training and production. Andrew has been working in media for the last 15 years and started in radio production and then moved into video production and motion graphics/animation. Andrew also uses and can train Adobe Soundbooth and Adobe Audition as well as specific plug-ins for After Effects and Premiére Pro such as Mocha for After Effects, Zaxwerks ProAnimator, Red Giant Particular and others

Nick Dale
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Nick is an accomplished and experienced industry practitioner and trainer in a wide range of video editing, motion graphics, web development and multimedia software packages. As a trainer he creates a relaxed and enjoyable learning environment that is responsive to clients with different learning needs and skills. Nick was brought up and educated in Australia where he studied theatre arts, partnered in setting up a graphic design business in the early 1990s and coordinated the first QaNTM Diploma of Multimedia course at Cairns Institute of TAFE before returning to the UK in 2001.

Jerry Leer
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Jerry Leer is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in After Effects, for over 13 years. He also holds certifications for all of the Apple Final Cut Studio applications as an Apple Master Trainer including the new Final Cut Pro X and Motion 5 releases. He has presented seminars in post production for the BBC and SKY and is often seen at production shows, 'IBC' and 'Broadcast and Video forum' running training sessions. He has worked in post production for 18 years as a freelance video editor and compositor and still works in this area when not training. Jerry provides support for clients before and after training or independently in person and online.

Tom Mavro
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Tom Mavro Graduated with a BSC Hons in Electronic Imaging and Media Communication in 1996. He has worked as a freelance graphic designer, video editor and DVD producer. A senior UK technical support analyst and product consultant for Media 100, Apple & Pinnacle products. Tom is a certified Final Cut Pro Expert and Certified Apple trainer, Apple Solutions Expert and Apple Distinguished Professional. In addition an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, CS5, Adobe Encore CS3, CS4, CS5 and OnLocation CS3, CS5. Tom has trained many large broadcasters, production companies, creatives, corporates and institutions.

Sean Mitchell

Sean Mitchell comes from a design and print background and has more than 10 years' experience working within the industry. Sean is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Acrobat 8, 9 and 10 (X) and InDesign CS2, CS3, CS4 and CS5. He also leads print production training using InDesign, Acrobat and Photoshop. Sean loves mastering new programs and learning new techniques so he can share his knowledge with others to improve their working lives. Sean is also rapidly developing his skill-set in the digital market with Adobe's Digital Publishing Solutions (DPS), Dreamweaver and Flash.

Marek Mularczyk

Marek Mularczyk is an Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Contribute, Flash and Lightroom. Established as a professional photographer for over 13 years, Marek enjoys using all aspects of the Adobe Creative Suite to enhance his photography. Winner of numerous awards in his native Poland, Marek travels Europe in search of that perfect picture. With a very gentle disposition Marek is the newest addition to the Certitec team and has already acquired many emails of commendation.

Mark Waterfield
Adobe Certified Expert and Instructor

Mark Waterfield is our eLearning and Adobe Captivate Certified Instructor who started designing and developing web sites in the mid 90s. He initially started working as a (then) Macromedia Flash designer/developer for a variety of blue-chip clients and Mark added to his multimedia skills in 2005 by becoming Adobe certified in Adobe Dreamweaver. Mark now focuses exclusively on the Adobe eLearning suite and travels throughout the UK and Europe providing certified training and consultancy services to companies large and small. His projects have included Lloyds of London, BSkyB, Pepsico, GCHQ, the Royal Air Force, VW and Thames Valley Police. He has also recently developed eLearning content for Cambridge Diets and recently completed two content creation projects for the Open University.

Samantha Harris
Customer Development Manager

Samantha Harris is the Customer Development Manager at Certitec and the longest serving member of the support team. After many years experience in the newspaper and magazine publishing section, Samantha now fronts customer development interacting with clients from the UK and Europe. Samantha mentions the best part of her role is enabling clients to fully understand the different learning and development packages we offer under the Adobe branding and seeing how this can affect people in business. You might have already met Samantha at various seminars and events such as Adobe Live, Publishing Expo and MAX!

Vanessa Pearce is our Training Consultant here at Certitec. After many years of controlling large web and print accounts across the UK, Vanessa finds her role as Training Consultant very rewarding, speaking to both new and existing clients. Fully conversant with many publishing applications on both platforms, Vanessa enjoys meeting and discussing courses with our many clients, which she states is extremely rewarding.
