Enfocus Pitstop Server 10

PitStop Server 10 is the indispensable preflighting and auto-correction tool for high-volume PDF workflows. Using Enfocus PDF Profiles and Action Lists, PitStop Server 10 instantly analyzes, corrects, reports on and routes files based on the most stringent of requirements. These also include the PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-3 and PDF/X-4 ISO standards and the Ghent PDF Workgroup specifications.

New features of Enfocus Pitstop Server 10

PitStop Server 10 uses hot folders for batch processing. Simply drop your PDF files in an input folder and PitStop Server 10 does the rest, preflighting your files, correcting a wide range of pre-press problems and rejecting files that don't meet the grade for the print provider or the output requirements at your site.

Further streamline your workflow with Enfocus Certified PDF® technology which is fully integrated into PitStop Server 10. Enfocus Certified PDF files are immediately filtered so that PDFs without problems move through production faster than other PDF files. This ensures a smart way of processing through to print. Preflight them and notify your customers automatically of problem files. Flatten PDF transparencies aids the consistency of output

Although the latest print engines can flatten transparency well, earlier generations that are still in widespread use cannot always handle transparency reliably. PitStop Server 10 now enables to handle transparency flattening and makes you more efficient.

Optimized PDFs for the web or for archiving

The optimization functionality in PitStop Server 10 analyses and removes unnecessary items within the PDF, such as invisible image data outside trim or crop boxes. This results in a smaller file size for storage and also for other purposes such as faster downloads from websites.
Bringing color to the next level

Colour management brought up-to-date

Color management is also brought to a new level in PitStop Server 10, similar to the enhancements applied to the new PitStop Pro 10. It can now automatically check the total ink coverage while including transparency, overprint settings, overlapping items and layers. Black point compensation is also supported when using either Adobe® CMM or Little CMS.
