- The PowerPoint screen - toolbars, scroll bar, menus, viewing modes.
Masters & Templates
- Understanding and changing PowerPoint Master slide layouts and selecting/modifying Templates (colour schemes/designs, etc.).
Adding Text
- Adding text to a slide, selecting objects and formatting text.
Bullets
- Using bulleted lists in a presentation.
Drawing Tools/Clipart
- Using PowerPoint’s basic drawing facilities to enhance a slide and adding pre-drawn pictures (ClipArt).
Graphing
- Creating and modifying graphs (charts) to illustrate data.
Text Editing
- Improving the appearance of text in a slide and use of Microsoft’s ‘WordArt’ feature.
Utilities
- Using spell check and find and replace facilities.
Slide Shows / Printing
- Setting up a slide show with a variety of special effects and examining PowerPoint’s print options

Prerequisites
- To gain the maximum benefit from this course an attendee should have a basic knowledge of Windows and be able to use the mouse
Qualification
- This course covers material from the standard European Computer Driving Licence (Module 6) and the Microsoft Office Specialist Core PowerPoint syllabus
